Archived Gall Bladder Flush
Hi all. I apologise for having been negligent in following Paracelsus for the past couple of months. I just happened to spot my name in the subject matter today and saw a request for the details of the Gall Bladder Flush. I do have archives of all Paracelsus 1997 entries, in the form of one large 4.3 MB ZIP file (12 MB TXT file), and a search for 'Gall Bladder Flush' returned the attached entry donated by a chiropractor in Australia almost exactly one year ago today. I've personally done the GB Flush 4 times, and the first time (1987) I harvested 59 stones the size of garden peas. The biggest one was the size of my thumbnail. I noticed an immediate improvement in my ability to digest meats & fatty foods, thereafter. The protocol that I personally followed was more like the one that Ingrid has posted, which I'll also re-post if you wish.
Subject: Gall Bladder Flush
GALL BLADDER FLUSH PROCEDURE
DAYS 1 - 5 e.g. Monday - Friday inclusive *Have 3 ml. of Hydrangea and 3ml. of St. Mary's Thistle together with 10 ml. of water morning and night before meals, on an empty stomach. (Your Chiropractor or Naturopath can get it for you, or he/she may prescribe other supplements.) *Do not eat green peas or broad beans until you have completed this procedure.
*Drink as much apple juice as you feel comfortable drinking. (1 liter/day). This step should be done unless you are advised by your physician not to follow this suggestion on account of blood sugar problems, or if the apple juice causes you discomfort. Be certain to use only organic apple juice, e.g. Pure Harvest (from Woolworth's, in Australia) which is free of preservatives. Fresh is always the best choice, then frozen, and lastly, cooked bottled apple juice.
*Have one can of normal Coca-Cola, morning and night. The ortho-phosphoric acid in the Coke, combined with the apple juice, helps soften the stones. *Have two scoops of Endura (by Metagenics, from Health World - your Chiropractor can get it for you) twice per day in a glass of water, preferably mid-morning and mid-afternoon. The Magnesium Diglycinate helps the muscles of the walls of the Common Bile Duct to be able to contract then relax, as stones and sludge move through it. (You will find that the Endura dissolves more readily in a blender or shaken in some warm water, then add cold water to it.)
DAY 6 e.g. Saturday *Have your Hydrangea, St. Mary's Thistle (or other prescribed supplement). Eat a normal breakfast plus one can of Coke plus the same amount of apple juice. Also have one scoop of Endura in a glass of water.
Midday *Eat a normal lunch plus 1 can Coke and a glass of apple juice.
*2p.m. Two hours after lunch dissove 2 tablespoons
of Epsom Salts in 85ml of warm, pure water, with 1 scoop of Endura and
drink it; or drink 1 bottle of "Fleet" [or Magnesium Citrate?] which you
can obtain from the pharmacy, followed by 1 scoop of Endura in water. If
you find the taste intolerable, you may "chase it" with a little juice,
preferably citrus, of your choice.
*4p.m. Four hours after lunch, have a coffee
enema with one quarter of a cup of Epsom Salts dissolved in it. (See following
instructions)
*5p.m. Five hours after lunch, dissolve 1 tablespoon
of Epsom Salts in 85ml of warm, pure water with 1 scoop of Endura and drink
it; or drink 1 bottle of "Fleet", followed by a scoop of Endura, in a glass
of water.
*6p.m. Six (or seven) hours after lunch
you have a choice: you may either fast or you may have a fruit salad with
whipped cream. (It is preferable that you have the fruit salad and cream).
It is to be made with a variety of fresh fruit of your choice (but NO SEEDS)
and whipped cream. You should eat as much as desired.
Then do the following:- Stir 150mls of Coca Cola with 170mls of cold pressed virgin olive oil and one tablespoon of lemon juice (15ml) and drink it quickly at bedtime whilst it is still stirring around in the glass. The purpose of the lemon juice is to "lay" the oil and decrease the feeling of nausea. Now go to bed and lie on your right hand side for as long as you can.
DAY 7 - (The next morning) e.g. Sunday *Have another coffee enema with one quarter of a cup of Epsom Salts dissolved in it. Also, drink one 300ml bottle of Kruse's Fluid Magnesia [or Magnesium Citrate]. Don't go too far from the toilet that day. Continue to take the Hydrangea and St. Mary's Thistle (or your other prescribed supplements) as you have done already in Days 1-6. Your Chiropractor [or Naturopath] will tell you when to stop taking these. Eat mostly fruit and vegetables today and for the next two days, slowly introducing "greasy" foods.
SO WHAT HAPPENS NEXT? During the next 24 to 48hours after taking the treatment all bowel movements should be passed into a receptacle (e.g. place a sieve or fly wire into the toilet bowl). Have it form a pocket so that when the toilet is flushed, the water will flush through the wire breaking down the stool waste and leave any stones that have been passed. Use rubber gloves when clearing the stones from the bowel motion. The enema taken on Day 7 is an excellent help in clearing the large bowel and assists in washing out the stones.
Stones may vary from the size of a golf ball to that of a pea. Some people find hundreds of small green gravel, the size of seeds (apple or sesame). In nearly all cases stones are biliverdin ones (made of solidified green bile pigment). They can be blue-green, light to dark green and sometimes black. Some people can pass red strawberry like stones which can have some green in them also. These are bilirubin stones (solidified red bile pigment). Bilirubin and biliverdin are pigments produced by haemolysis (breakdown of red blood cells) in the spleen.
Because of the softening and dissolving action of the method, the above mentioned stones can be easily squashed between the fingers and are almost impossible to keep whole in a bottle for more than 48 hours. [Or you can freeze them in a small jar.] Very occasionally the stones will liquefy before they are passed out of the body. In this instance the person reports a messy series of bowel motions following the treatment. Most people report great satisfaction in seeing stones that have passed out of their bodies after this treatment.
Most people do not experience any discomfort from doing the gall bladder flush other than a newly discovered, considerable dislike for the taste of Epsom Salts and olive oil. However, it is possible that one may feel some nausea or other discomfort. This is not cause for worry or concern, but rather is due to the contraction of the gall bladder and the process of elimination of toxins. Quite the contrary, as a result of the gall bladder flush one usually feels an improvement in well-being. Make sure your Chiropractor checks your spine and organ reflexes on Day 8.
Gallstones are most common in "western-society". This being due to our diet and lifestyle. The typical "western-diet" is rich in cholesterol and saturated fatty foods and deficient in foods which help keep cholesterol under control. In fact an increase in blood cholesterol is usually due to a liver dysfunction, so the St. Mary's Thistle will help that dysfunction.
The gall bladder stores and concentrates bile, a substance which is produced by the liver. Bile aids digestion and absorption of fat, increases the solubility of fatty acids and emulsifies fats to make them easily accessible to lipase, an enzyme from the pancreas. Bile salts are needed for the absorption of vitamin A, D, E and K. They also have a mild laxative effect. Thus you can see that the gallbladder is essential for complete digestion of fat and fat soluble vitamins while also helping to keep our bowel regular.
In most cases gallstones can be successfully dissolved or flushed from the system. However, there are severe or chronic cases where surgical removal is required. Removal of this useful organ from the body does nothing to correct the cause of gallstones and therefore should be avoided when possible.
The purpose of the "Gall Bladder Flush" procedure is to assist your body in its efforts to maintain free-flowing bile and to help keep the gall bladder free of debris. It is a very simple and natural procedure which at one time was used at the renowned Lahey Clinic in Boston, Massachusetts.
The principles involved are really quite simple. The idea is to cause the gall bladder to naturally expel any accumulated matter, including stones or pre-stone sludge composed of stagnant bile and toxins. Firstly, natural acids i.e., malic acid in apple juice and ortho-phosphoric acid in Coke are employed to "cut" the sludge or hardened bile to allow for it to be readily expelled from the gall bladder, through the bile duct, into the colon and out of the body.
Secondly, adequate amounts of magnesium e.g. Endura [or Magnesium Citrate in the U.S.], are ingested which will allow for a relaxation of the smooth musculature which includes those controlling the relaxation and contraction of the bile duct.
Thirdly, natural oil e.g. olive oil, is ingested which if taken in sufficient quantity, will cause the gall bladder to contract, forcing the expulsion of the bile sludge out of the gall bladder into the (now relaxed) bile duct.
Fourthly, the lemon juice decreases the feeling of nausea during the treatment.
How to make the coffee enema:
1. Obtain an enema kit from a pharmacy (Higginson
Syringe Enema) and a small tube of KY gel, ( or a small amount of olive
oil.)
2. Add 3 tablespoons freshly ground coffee to
1 litre boiling water and simmer for 5 minutes - then allow to cool to
body temperature.
3. Lubricate the enema tip using KY Gel or olive
oil, and then have someone(unless you can do it yourself) insert the tip
into your anus.
4. Pump the liquid slowly into the rectum, whilst
you lie on your right side, and hold the liquid in for 10-15 minutes. Then
go to the toilet.
So, you will need to get the following in order
to do the flush thoroughly:-
1. Hydrangea (or other suitable supplement) 100ml
from your Chiropractor. [Or health food store.]
2. St. Mary's Thistle. (or other suitable supplement)100ml
from your Chiropractor.
3. Organic apple juice 3-6 lts. from Health Food
Store.
4. Coca-cola, as outlined above.
5. Endura - 1 canister from your Chiropractor.
6. Epsom Salts - 1 packet from a Pharmacy
7. "Fleet" - 2 bottles (if you think you can't
drink Epsom Salts) from your Chiropractor or a Pharmacy. [Or Mag Citrate?]
8. 4 Lemons.
9. Virgin Olive Oil - 170 ml.
10. Kruse's Fluid Magnesia (1 bottle) - from
your Chiropractor or Pharmacy
11. Freshly ground coffee - 6 Tablespoons
12. Higginson Syringe Enema Kit from a Pharmacy
13. KY Gel from a Pharmacy, or you can use the
olive oil.
This procedure is only to be undertaken at the direction of your chiropractor or other health professional who can monitor the physiological functioning of your liver and gall bladder.
FOLLOW-UP COMMENTS:
All things come to he who waits. Or so they say. Who are THEY anyway? They're always saying something. Now that I've finally got the Gall Bladder Flush over the 'net', I'll answer some of those Q's that have come to me. Some should be already be answed by reading the "Procedure". The purpose of the Coke is to provide Orthophosphoric acid. With some people it would be 'better' for them to have Coke, than the real thing (no pun intended). If you like you can get Orthophosphoric acid from Standard Process Labs in USA. That was the only place that I could find it. And , they will air mail it all over the world.Take two droppers of it twice per day. That way is recommended for diabetics. The reason why I didn't include it in my text is because we're not supposed to sell it here [in Australia]. So, I've "given" it to my friends and family.
The only two things that patients balk at is:
1. The oil, Coke and lemon juice combination
on the Saturday evening. Believe me you can only taste the Coke. If you
are not having Coke, then hold your nose - that'll take away your sense
of taste.
2. The enemas. Once people read that, the oil
and Coke pale into insignificance. When faced with the alternative of surgery,
the patient will opt for the enemas. Besides, the apple juice and Coke
isn't too bad! And for those who go through Days 1 - 5, they've put in
so much time and effort into the procedure already that they just don't
back out. I tell all my patients that the enemas are absolutely neccesary.
I haven't had one person say "No", they won't do it. After they have done
the whole thing they are ecstatic. They can see the results immediately.
The 'Endura', is basically a powdered form of magnesium to allow muscular contraction and relaxation. Being liquid (when you add it to water), it is more easily absorbed than tablets. But again, for diabetics I do give tablets - the equivalent of
