Day before yesterday, my daughter was outside walking in the yard, when something stung her on the upper thigh. She was screaming in pain. There was a pronounced red spot, like if a hot needle had penetrated her skin. I should have used Ledum for puncture wounds immediately, but didn't think to do that. This plus the Nosode of the actual venom would help a lot, but I had forgotten about the Ledum.
Remember Homeopathy means "Similar" Suffering...
I muscle tested for Apis (bee), for Vespa (wasp) or for Viperia (Viper Snake). These Ground wasps (hornets?) seem to be a lot more painful than most wasps. Just one sting swells incredibly, and the key note of Viperia is that to lower the limb is to create extreme pain - like as if the limb would burst or explode. I quickly copied my kit remedy into some placebo pellets with the BioAid, and gave her a dose. This Viperia remedy caused her to quit screaming in seconds after an oral dose of it. I gave her another dose that evening, and another dose last night (24 hours later). That sting has swelled to about a 8" diameter on her leg. Nasty wasps, these.... This morning, swelling is down to almost normal, and she is no longer complaining of pain.
Just wanted to let you know, in case you run into this type of problem, as Apis won't work well for THIS type of sting. I wouldn't have known to check for this, except for last year being stung on my foot, and being laid up in bed for a week, thinking I knew which remedy I should use, and suffering needlessly, as when I found this remedy, I was very much better quickly!
Hope this is helpful to someone, but I hope you never need it!
